Ending the pre-game-night negotiation
Game night sometimes loses ten minutes to negotiating what to actually play, especially with a group that has different favorites. Listing out the realistic options — games everyone present can actually play with the current group size — and spinning turns that negotiation into a five-second decision.
It also works well as a tiebreaker specifically: narrow the group down to two or three games everyone's genuinely willing to play, then let the wheel make the final call.
